Water chemistry can be highly complicated. By the time water reaches your operation, it has developed a wide variety of characteristics. Organics, chemicals, sediment, metals and minerals all interact to create a recipe that can be challenging for restaurants.

Water that is high in calcium and magnesium can lead to hard scale in equipment, while water that is high in chlorides or chlorine can be corrosive to plumbing and stainless steel. And iron, when utilized by certain bacteria, can cause slime build up and clogging.
The free Everpure water test kit can give you some simple measurements for key water attributes. However, to fully understand your water’s chemistry, a certified lab analysis is recommended. Precise and accurate testing requires the use of sophisticated equipment in lab conditions.
Our Certified Lab Analysis will provide precise and detailed information on the following:
- Turbidity (cloudiness)
- Tannins (organic material)
- Langelier Index (scale forming & corrosion problems)
- pH
- Color
- TDS
- Hardness
- Alkalinity
- Conductivity
- Cations (Metals)
- Sodium
- Potassium
- Strontium
- Iron
- Copper
- Zinc
Anions
- Chloride
- Nitrates
- Sulfates
- Bicarbonate
- Fluoride
- Silica
Also Available (if requested):
- TOC
- MBAS
- Perchlorate
- Sulfide
- Arsenic
- Phosphate
- Filterability
- Solids

The lab we use to test and analyze your water is the only lab in the water equipment industry certified by the National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (NELAC). Your water will be subjected to up to 36 different tests to ensure accurate results. A few examples of the equipment used include:
- Ion Chromatography
- Spectroscopy
- Wet Chemistry
Our Certified Lab Analysis is $90.00. We will send you a water bottle that you fill per the instructions included and mail back using the enclosed return label. Your results will arrive in approximately 2-3 weeks. If you would like to order our Certified Lab Analysis or if you have questions about our water testing, call our Technical Service Team at 800-942-1153, or email us at watertest@everpure.com.
